A BRIEF HISTORY
FATHER HOOD THE BEST HOOD ESTABLISHED IN 2018
June of 2017, Randy Becton Jr aka Slauson Ave Activist went on his hero's journey of single fatherhoodship. Randy struggled to find resources through the public service systems and find communities of fathers who knew how and where to apply strategies of coping with being a single parent. As a result, created monthly play dates inviting brothers to the park to play with their kids and share comradery of fathership.
TODAY
We are now hosting a program for school age kids k-12 called Be The Hero through the Be The Hero, 501c3 hosted by Slauson Ave Activist. Fatherhood The Best Hood programming will resume monthly twice a month at the park for all families no matter the race or gender. We are providing handbooks, events, and community for all families to have an opportunity to share, inform, and learn to be better leaders of our community.
